Withdrawn by NoraBlansett Withdrawn by NoraBlansett
This group likes to request photos, then delete them, inviting the person, and then withdrawing the invitation, only to then accuse them of being the jerk who refused the invitation resulting in their work being removed.

Yeah. I don't think so. They requested my photo, I accepted. They then removed my photo and withdrew my invitation to the group.

When I asked what the hell was up with that, they accused me of being the one to delete/reject/whatever the invitation.

I strongly recommend avoiding this group.

For the record, I'm sick and tired of groups pulling this crap. Do NOT request my work if you are not only going to delete it, and go on to insult my intelligence. Maybe the group leaders need to pull their head out of their arse, check their logs and see who is the one withdrawing invitations and removing things, etc., before insulting me and other artists.

To be fair, the controls for groups are very confusing and somewhat buggy. It has happened to me multiple times that I'd click on one thing to accept/reject and the next three things end up getting the same response, even though I never clicked on those aaaaaa.

Not that I am necessarily defending this group. It sounds pretty fishy...

Eh, now they are admitting they withdrew the invitation because I didn't accept fast enough. The whole thing is just ridiculous.

Good question! I think the entire group must be trolling. It's not like *I* went and sought out a little group with only a couple hundred watchers to submit one photo to. They came to me, they requested my work, they requested I join, then they insult me by removing my work, telling me it wasn't allowed there in the first place (so why ask ME for it?!) and then go on to withdraw my invitation and be stupid enough to try to tell me that *I* withdrew it. First off, I'd have to be one of THEIR mods to withdraw the invitation. On my end, it would be called "rejecting" -- and it sure as hell wouldn't tell me, "Sorry! Invitation Withdrawn" if *I* had rejected it.

yeah, i am finding allot of children's groups here. which is why i dont join groups, i truly enjoy the friends i have on here and love to browse but i rarely even look into groups unless one of my friends is in it and asks me. i dont deal with childish drama well. Well all in all it is there loss and you are much better off not being in a group like that.

I've been working on getting my CV and artist statement together so I can submit my work to galleries locally. I've kinda avoided galleries because my last experience with one back in 2009 was enough to make me never want to put my art in a gallery again. The gallery was just evil. They ended up shutting down and it was partly because of some crap they pulled with me. Other artists didn't want that to happen to them.

yeah, maybe you need your own gallery, we have over 20 private galleries here in town on main street makes for wonderful art walks.

I wouldn't mind having my own gallery -- but I'd need to sell a lot more of my work to keep it open. LOL I've always wanted to have a gallery/coffee shop/bookstore combo.
