My son was in an accident...

My thirteen year old son and his best friend were both terribly injured Saturday in a four-wheeler accident.  My son has had to have surgery and a pin put in his wrist and a plate in his leg as his femur was broken.  His best friend had to be air-lifted to the children's hospital an hour and a half away.

I've been very, very upset about it and trying to remain calm.  It's hard to be so far away from my son when I need to be THERE.  Unfortunately I have a perforated eardrum and infection and can't get on a plane, even if I had a million dollars.  (I'm completely deaf in my left ear and didn't realize I had such a severe infection because I don't have normal sensation/working nerves.)

Please, if you are a praying person, add my son and his best friend to your prayers.  If you send energy, all positive energies are invited.  If you simply could hold them in your thoughts, I'd be grateful.  My son's a wonderful, handsome, talented young man and I'm praying constantly for a full recovery for both children.

As for my art, I tried to work on "To See What the Future Tells Me".  Unfortunately, my nerves really screwed it up.  I couldn't focus and my hands were shaky.  I thought that sitting down and working on a painting would relax me -- instead it just stressed me out further because It was screwed up.  LOL  I tried desperately to correct the mistakes -- but watercolours are extremely unforgiving media.  Of course, I'll still upload it and show it, but it's not something I am entirely happy with.  Oh well.  Not ever work of art turns out to be perfect.  :)

Anyway, that's my update for now.  Again, please keep the kids in your thoughts and focus on healing, strength, rest and peace.  The more prayers and positive energy, the better for the world as a whole, right?

Actually, they are both doing great! They will have some permanent scars, but hey -- scars are nothing compared to what COULD have been. Thank you so much!
